Factry Historian v6.2 | Calculation Context & Enhancements

Version 6.2 of Factry Historian brings smarter, more flexible calculations with context access, tag handling, and better previews.

This video highlights new features in Factry Historian v6.2 that improve how calculations are created, visualized, and managed. The update introduces calculation context, enhanced data previews, tag manipulation, and fallback logic for missing data. With calculation context, users can now access metadata like the last result value, previous timestamp, and tags within their scripts — allowing for more dynamic, stateful calculations. A demo shows how the last result is incremented step-by-step to generate a running value.Factry also introduces the ability to manipulate tags directly in the script using set_tag(), opening up more advanced tracking or classification workflows. On the visualization side, the data preview pane is improved, now showing both input and output signals side by side (with color-coded lines and a tabular breakdown). This gives users a clearer picture of how the calculation behaves over time. Finally, for sample calculations, users can now define default fallback values for input signals in case of missing data. This allows for more robust logic when sensor data is incomplete or delayed.
