Technical Project Manager at Factry

Your main focus will be the planning and day-to-day management of ongoing projects and product development at Factry using SCRUM methodologies.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a technical project manager to help us bridge Industrial IT with open source IT in a project management role. You will work side by side with our COO, where your main focus will be the planning and day-to-day management of ongoing projects and product development at Factry using SCRUM methodologies.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will help our team with:

  • Translating functional project/product requirements into technical user stories.
  • Planning of development, while creating the backlog tasks.
  • Scheduling and designation of tasks to team members.
  • Managing the execution of each phase of each project/product development, while balancing the workload over different projects.
  • Testing new features to see if they meet the requirements.
  • Tracking and measuring progress and budget adherence.
  • Communicate and negotiate with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Go on-site to customers for status meetings / commissioning / …

About You

  • You have a masters degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent, and 2+ years of relevant project management experience.
  • You have worked with enterprise customers before, preferably in a manufacturing context.
  • You have experience in leading a team.
  • You have at least some experience in software development. You are able to think and communicate about development principles. You can read and understand code. You know your way around in a terminal.
  • You’re a motivated learner who is open to learn any new technology. You know how to google things.
  • You have a pragmatic and entrepreneurial mindset, thinking beyond today’s needs.
  • You take ownership and are proud of your work. We value people who learn from mistakes and improve themselves in tiny ways every day.
  • You feel comfortable in a fast-paced working environment. As a startup, we don’t have all the corporate-y features !
  • You’re motivated to understand and solve hard problems.
  • You have good communication skills.
  • You are an active listener, trying to figure out the underlying needs of the client.
  • You’re proficient in English and Dutch. Knowledge of any other language is an advantage.
