Business Developer

You build long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients together with our sales team.


The function

In your role as business developer, you work together with our CEO and Business Development Director to build long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients. This starts with discovering the needs of prospects, qualifying the fit with our products and guiding them to the “Aha!” moment where they fall and stay in love with Factry.

  • You guide prospects from discovery to closing stage and prioritize to keep a healthy funnel.
  • You take on initial qualification calls with inbound leads and perform demos of our current and upcoming products.
  • You execute on outbound sales activities to complement our inbound lead generation.
  • You spot opportunities for expansion at existing clients by collaborating with our product developers and project teams.
  • You attend (virtual) sector events and engage with potential interested parties.
  • You keep a clean track record of sales activities in our CRM system.
  • You share the Factry story at (virtual) events, conferences, blogs, webinars, etc.

About You

  • You have a couple of years of experience in a B2B sales role in startups and/or small companies.
  • Bonus points if you have sales experience in the field of Industrial IT and can rely on your network!
  • You get (open source) technology.
  • You are comfortable selling to SMEs as well as the enterprise.
  • You take a systematic approach to sales and know how to navigate a complex DMU.
  • You have excellent communications skills. You are comfortable picking up the phone.
  • You manage to keep a healthy sales funnel.
  • You know how to listen. And listen more.
  • You’re proficient in English and Dutch. Knowledge of any other language is an advantage.
